As part of our continued expansion, we are on the lookout for an exceptional Accounts apprentice to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious ACA Apprentice to join our team as a Level 4 Accounting Technician apprentice.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their accountancy career who is keen to gain hands-on experience while studying towards a professional qualification. On successful completion of the Level 4 apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress onto Level 7 and continue your journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
You will work alongside experienced accountants and advisers, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and gaining exposure to real‑world accounting, tax and business advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing data effective collection for a portfolio of clients
- Assisting with the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and bookkeeping for clients
- Assisting with basic tax computations
- Maintaining accurate accounting records using cloud-based software
- Communicating with clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks
- Studying towards the ICAEW Level 4 Accounting Technician qualification alongside your role

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn.
Essential requirements:
- Strong Maths and English qualifications
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident IT skills and willingness to learn new software
- A genuine interest in accountancy and business
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to work
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in an office or finance-related role
- Familiarity with Excel or cloud accounting software
